7th Annual NYC Young Men's Honor Chorus & new NYC Young Women's Honor Chorus
On Saturday, February 2, 2008, the YPC hosted the 7th Annual Honor Chorus at the Church of St. Paul. Young women ages 12-18 and young men ages 11-18 from all over the New York City area joined together for this one-day festival of singing and friendship. This year’s event was guided by conductors Lawrence Burnett, Professor and Choral Director at Carleton College, Minnesota, and Elizabeth Núñez, Associate Conductor of the YPC of New York City. (See below for a full list of participants.) After only a day of rehearsals, the enthusiastic choristers put all their talent and new-found knowledge into one show-stopping performance.
