Special Commission

Published poet and artist, Eric Gamalinda, was commissioned by Francisco J. Núñez and Jim Papoulis to write a special piece for CoolSide of Yuletide which would put the feeling of the holidays into words.

"Christmas is the time when we long for home, and home is anywhere that we are with the people we love. I wanted simple words, spoken by a child, to convey such deep emotions, and I hope these words do justice to Jim’s haunting and beautiful music." - Eric Gamalinda

Far away
all alone

Let it snow
let it fall
I am home when I’m home with you

In my world
there is none
none so true as you

It’s so cold
and I’m lost
I feel my heart unfold
sail to you
