The Young People’s Chorus of New York City is currently celebrating the 25th anniversary of its founding in 1988 by Artistic Director Francisco J. Núñez with a season of thrilling music and music-making. YPC's recent gala at Carnegie Hall was the most successful fundraiser in its history, and the Daily News reported that YPC's new community chorus in Washington Heights made a "big impact in [its] debut performance at Washington Heights Academy" on February 21.

Members of the Young People's Chorus of New York City will take part in this one-night only concert to raise funds for the Lang Lang International Music Foundation, hosted by Alec Baldwin. Grammy Award-winning violinist Joshua Bell, Danish singer-songwriter Oh Land, and Canadian jazz vocalist Matt Dusk will make guest appearances along with other surprise performers.
Founded by internationally acclaimed pianist Lang Lang, the Foundation focuses on inspiring and motivating the next generation of classical music lovers and performers.

For its next Transmusica concert, the Young People’s Chorus of New York City welcomes the acclaimed Australian youth choir, the Young Voices of Melbourne, conducted by its director and founder Mark O'Leary. Created by Francisco J. Núñez in 2012, Transmusica encompasses cross-cultural and transformative musical ideas, presenting a world view of how music can break barriers, connect cultures, affect societies, and act as a catalyst for change.

This summer the Young People’s Chorus of New York City has accepted invitations to perform in Hong Kong at the 2013 Hong Kong International Youth and Children’s Choir Festival, as well as in Shanghai, Hiroshima, and Tokyo, where YPC will make its debut with the Tokyo Philharmonic.
