Ju-Ping Song

Pianist Ju-Ping Song is an active proponent of contemporary music. She performs in the United States, Europe and Asia, and has given premieres of works by Magnus Lindberg, Joji Yuasa, Andrea Cavallari, Per Nørgård, Pierre Boulez, James Mobberley, Heinz Holliger, among others.

An enthusiastic collaborative musician, Ms. Song gives regular chamber music concerts and has performed with l’Orchestre de Chambre de Lausanne, l’Orchestre de la Radio Suisse Romande, the Winterthur Orchester, and the Bromington Orchestra. She has worked with George Benjamin, Pierre-Laurent Aimard and György Sebök.

Ms. Song  has been invited as soloist to the Darmstadt Contemporary Music Workshop, the Bogotá New Music Festival, the Tanglewood Music Center, and is a regular guest at the Florence Youth Orchestra Festival in Italy and the Akyoshidai New Music Festival in Japan.

Her recordings of works by Andrea Cavallari and Ron Mazurek are on the Capstone label.

Ms. Song holds a Ph.D. from New York University, and is currently on faculty at Hunter College in New York City.
